Simply place it underneath the super(s) you wish to clear – whether above the brood chamber or between honey supers – and leave it in place for a day or two. Bees will make their way down, leaving you with bee-free boxes ready for harvest.

Made from kiln-dried New Zealand Pine, this board is sustainably sourced, completely knot-free, and offers superior durability compared to UK Fir, Chinese pine, and even fast-grown British Red Cedar. Like any hive equipment, we recommend treating with preserve or paint to maximise the working life. Once treated, New Zealand Pine beats many of the characteristics of British Red Cedar (which is typically fast-grown and felled young making it softer and less durable).
