It also comes with a wooden entrance reducer – perfect for regulating access, preventing robbing, and managing hive temperature and strength during colder months.

Like any hive equipment, we recommend treating with preserve or paint to maximise the working life. Once treated, New Zealand Pine beats many of the characteristics of British Red Cedar (which is typically fast-grown and felled young making it softer and less durable).
